Tuition

My name is Jack McCamley-Wilding and I manage a team dedicated to delivering engaging maths lessons for school pupils. We provide one to one sessions in person and over Zoom, we are based in Glasgow and surrounding areas. We can tutor from home or travel to you. Also, we can travel further afield than Glasgow city centre so please contact me even if you live out with this area.

We teach a variety of pupils of different skill levels and always strive to provide a full understanding of the subject rather than just mindlessly learning. We provide valuable feedback on homework and class tests. Initially we would read through some of the course specification (which can be found here). This allows us to identify problematic areas in the course and work towards fixing them. On the other hand, if you feel your child may have a talent in the subject we can help them excel. We can provide challenging and thought-provoking maths exercises, outwith the context of the school syllabus. As many of our tutors are in science based fields some offer physics tuition as well. 

Aside from the subject being a necessity for many courses and jobs, maths develops our ability to think logically and systematically to break problems down. This is an extremely valuable skill in many areas of life. Buildings, vehicles, electronics, money, roads, medicine, and cities would cease to exist without mathematics. Whether it be engineering or computer science, mathematics is an elegant and fruitful skill to possess. We offer a competitive hourly rate of £35 per hour.
